Welcome to Transatlantic Studies
The Transatlantic Studies program (TASP) is the perfect choice for students wanting to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with a global focus and an interdisciplinary perspective. TASP courses, most of which are delivered in a flexible online format, examine key regions of the world and global issues through the prism of transatlantic relations. The TASP major incorporates the study of foreign languages – currently French and Spanish but other languages will be added – and students are required to complete an international study-abroad or internship experience. TASP graduates, with their global perspective and knowledge, foreign language skills, and international experience, are well-prepared to take advantage of professional and educational opportunities in the emerging global community.
You can earn the B.A. with a major in Transatlantic Studies from one of 2 fully-accredited University System of Georgia institutions. Get started now and explore the world of Transatlantic Studies!

Why Transatlantic Studies?
The transatlantic relationship between the United States and Europe constitutes the bedrock alliance for each partner in terms of economic, security, and cultural collaboration, and it is an important factor influencing different regions of the world and global issues. As our multipolar world moves towards greater interdependence, the transatlantic relationship will continue to serve as a key cornerstone for emerging networks of global cooperation and governance.
